Acanthemblemaria atrata is a species of chaenopsid blenny in the genus Acanthemblemaria.[1] It is found around Cocos Island, Costa Rica, in the eastern central Pacific ocean.[1] It was named by P.A. Hastings and D.R. Robertson in 1999.[2] Male Acanthemblemaria atrata can reach a maximum length of 3.2 centimetres, while females can reach a maximum length of 3.17 centimetres.[1]
